Three workbooks.
And me, by your side.

“I’m Marlène. My cartoon self joins you at every step: a tip, an emotion to recognise, a little film secret… You invent what comes next!”

Marlène · filmmaker and workbook guide
STEP 01

I invent my world

Explore on scrap paper, then draw or describe your ideas. Marlène suggests characters; you agree on the cast before receiving workbook 2.

One detail can make your character unique.
STEP 02

I tell my adventure

Discover framing before drawing your story in five moments. Send your storyboard with a parent for approval before workbook 3.

What does your character want? What stands in their way?
STEP 03

I become a filmmaker

Choose sounds, voices and a title. You can also imagine your poster. Once your choices are approved, Marlène makes your film.

Try two titles. Which one makes you want to see your film?

Three weeks as a guide, at their own pace: workbooks are sent one at a time after approval. A parent handles exchanges with Marlène.

The joy of exploring

An idea.
An experiment.
A choice of their own.

Workbooks arrive one at a time, after approval. Between submissions, ideas have time to grow.

  1. 01

    Explore on scrap paper

Lines, words, arrows. Try two ideas for one choice: a detail, a frame, a title.

  2. 02

    Return and choose

Another day: “What am I keeping, and why?” Your child explains what they want to say.

  3. 03

Keep their choices in the workbook

A simple drawing or description is enough. A parent photographs the pages and sends them to Marlène.

From their imagination to your home

A film to discover.
A poster to put on the wall.

For parents

A few details
before getting started.

Does my child need to know how to draw?

No. Stick figures, a few words or ideas dictated to an adult are enough. Your child invents and chooses; Marlène produces the images, editing and sound, using digital tools including artificial intelligence.

Do we receive all three workbooks together?

You receive the parent guide and first workbook at the start. The second follows approval of the cast with Marlène; the third follows approval of the storyboard. A parent handles messages and submissions.

What pace should we plan for at home?

Plan 2 to 3 short sessions a week on different days: explore on scrap paper, choose, then complete the workbook. Three weeks is a guide, adapted to your child and the feedback. Marlène then confirms the film delivery date.

Do we need software or video sessions?

The programme takes place at home using the workbooks and Marlène’s feedback. Paper, a pencil and a phone to photograph the pages are enough. A parent sends the work through the channel provided by Marlène.

How do we receive the poster?

Your child draws their poster idea on a full A4 sheet. Send it to Marlène; they then receive their A3 poster by post. The poster project is optional.

Is the festival included in the €180?

Participation and screening at the festival in Vichy on 26 June 2027 are by selection. The €60 option guarantees the child’s place, their film screening and a small award at the ceremony. The total with this option is €240.

The story starts with them.

They already have ideas.
